Antimony trioxide
Product Description

Antimony trioxide is the most widely produced compound of elemental antimony.
China has produced a major portion of the world’s antimony supply for more than 20 years.
Antimony trioxide itself has no flame retardant function, however, when it is used together with halogenated compounds, the synergistic effect of the mixture creates the flame retardant properties.

It’s mainly used as flame retardant synergist in combination with halogenated compounds in plastics, rubber, paints, paper, textiles and electronics. Approximately twice as many halogenated compounds are required to achieve the same level of flame retardation without the antimony trioide.
